Player Information:
Carlos Arturo Bacca Ahumada is a Colombian footballer who plays for Sevilla FC in La Liga, as a striker. Bacca began his professional career with Junior in 2006, where he did not have many chances to play. While playing football, Bacca had a second job, working as a bus driver's assistant, where he worked as a ticket collector. Bacca cited the second job was to earn money since his family came from a poor background. Carlos had played for various amateur clubs of his native town Barranquilla until he was invited to the city’s top club Atlético Junior in 2007. In his Barranquilla career, Bacca made twenty-seven appearance and scoring twelve times, where he started to play regular. After his loan from Barranquilla, Bacca joined Venezuelan football (soccer) club Minervén on loan for one season. Bacca led the club into second place in the league, nearly winning the league and went on to make twenty-one appearance and scoring fourteen times. In 2008, Bacca rejoined Barranquilla on loan once again and this season was special for Bacca as he was awarded the top-scorer with fourteen goals. In his first professional season, Bacca quickly earned himself a regular first team place and was the top scorer of the 2009 Copa Colombia. A year later in 2010, he became the winner and top goalscorer of the Categoría Primera A; repeating in 2011 as winner and top goalscorer giving Junior their sixth and seventh Colombian titles. Since making a breakthrough at Atlético Junior, Bacca had attracted clubs' interest, mostly from Europe. Many clubs in Europe like Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow and Chievo Bacca came close to join those club, but those move was never completed. Bacca revealed he nearly joined Lokomotiv Moscow, but his hopes of moving to Russia ended after the club, instead, signed Ecuadorian player Felipe Caicedo.
