The Montreal Impact is a Canadian professional soccer team based in Montreal, Quebec that competes in Major League Soccer (MLS). The Impact began playing in 2012 as MLS' 19th franchise and third Canadian club; they replaced the second division team of same name. The Impact are run by the former Impact's ownership group, led by owner Joey Saputo.
